I received my Ph.D. in the Curriculum and Instruction department at Indiana University, with the major in Mathematics Education, and the minor in Educational Inquiry. I was a Ph.D. fellow sponsored by Republic of Turkey. My research interests include the large-scale assessments of mathematics, teacher education, and secondary level quantitative analyses, such as Hierarchical Linear Modeling, Structural Equation Modeling, Differential Item Functioning, etc. I taught mathematics for varied level of students, ranging from 4th grade to higher education.

I have been a part of several research projects, and taught a teacher education course. My research interests are international assessments such as TIMSS and PISA, and the role of technology in the mathematics instructions. I have successfully defended my dissertation in 2019, the title was "Teacher Characteristics that Predict Students' Mathematics Achievement in European Union Countries: An Examination of TIMSS 2015 Results Using Hierarchical Linear Modeling".
